Qualifications

• B. Pharm is required; B.E./B.Tech is preferred.
• 15+ years of packaging development experience.
• Strong GMP, QC, regulatory, serialization, and change management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging development activities from design to scale-up.
• Ensure GMP compliance and QC requirements.
• Drive packaging design and optimization for stability, usability, and regulatory needs.
• Oversee packaging testing and validation and equipment/process validation.
• Support technology transfer to manufacturing.
• Govern deviation management, investigations, and CAPA effectiveness for packaging changes.
• Ensure serialization, labeling, barcoding readiness for global markets.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on packing materials, supplier qualification, and change management.
• Drive automation and digital transformation in packaging development.
• Ensure regulatory and audit readiness for packaging documentation and changes.
• Maintain high EHS standards.
• Lead team capability building, training, and mentoring in packaging development.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Lead packaging development activities, including design, evaluation, optimization, and scale-up of packaging solutions
• Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Quality Control & Compliance requirements
• Drive Packaging Design and Optimization aligned with product stability, usability, and regulatory needs
• Oversee Packaging Testing and Validation and Equipment and Process Validation activities
• Support technology transfer of new or modified packaging formats to commercial manufacturing
• Govern Deviation Management, Investigation Analysis, and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) effectiveness for packaging changes
