Job summary

Tata Consumer Products is seeking a Senior Salesforce Architect to design and implement a scalable Salesforce strategy aligned with business goals. You will partner with executives and technical teams to translate requirements into robust Salesforce solutions and ensure end-to-end data flow across systems.

The role requires 8–10 years of Salesforce experience, strong architectural vision, and leadership in a fast-moving consumer goods context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degrees and Salesforce certifications preferred.
• 8–10 years of Salesforce experience, including at least 6 years hands-on platform development and architecture.
• Experience in defining system architecture landscapes and delivering comprehensive Salesforce solutions.
• Strong design experience for large web-based systems and full software product lifecycles.
• Experience in FMCG/CPG/Retail/Telecom domains is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills across multiple hierarchy levels.
• Spoken and written English is mandatory.

• Design and implement a Salesforce-based application strategy aligned with the organisation’s business goals and long-term technology vision.
• Partner with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions that support the defined application strategy.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously evolve and strengthen the Salesforce application strategy.

Customer Service

• Work closely with development, cyber security, and business teams to ensure solution designs are well aligned, clearly understood, and effectively executed across projects.
• Act as a subject matter expert on design matters by providing practical guidance, recommendations, and decision support to technical teams and business stakeholders.

Internal Processes

• Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions that connect upstream and downstream applications, systems, and data sources to enable seamless data flow and real-time communication.
• Ensure the DevSecOps process is kept up to date and consistently followed across all relevant activities.

Innovation and Learning

• Research and propose emerging technologies, architectural patterns, and solution approaches that can improve business processes and enhance customer experiences.
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of existing designs, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes that optimise performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers by providing guidance, encouraging collaboration, and fostering an environment focused on innovation and continuous learning.

Critical success factors for the Role?

• Experience in defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end states, and delivering comprehensive solutions that enable business outcomes.
• Strong experience in designing and developing large web-based systems, or exposure to the complete software product lifecycle.
• Experience in FMCG, CPG, Retail, or Telecom domains is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across multiple hierarchy levels within the organisation.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, dependencies, and execution nuances.
• Spoken and written English is mandatory.

Desirable success factors for the Role?

• Ability to debug and resolve performance issues across both the client layer and Apex layer.
• Strong experience in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Lightning Flows, triggers, Salesforce/Apex development, and related Salesforce technologies.
• Understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of integration architecture, integration patterns, asynchronous capabilities, and REST and SOAP API-based Salesforce integrations. This is a must-have capability.
• Understanding of identity and access management, integration security, and related security considerations across Salesforce integrations.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data management, large data volume limitations, and best practices. This is a must-have capability.
• Knowledge and practical use of architectural design patterns, Apex design patterns, scalable solution design, and performance-driven architecture. Apex design patterns are a must-have capability.
• Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with business systems such as ETL platforms, marketing automation tools, reporting systems, and other enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of environment management, release management, DevSecOps practices, code versioning standards, and deployment methodologies, including Agentforce Vibes where applicable.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Mobile SDK, Salesforce Data Cloud and experience with Agentforce creation and configuration.
