Role & responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of Salesforce Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning (FSL) solutions.
- Architect scalable solutions for case management, work orders, service scheduling, dispatching, entitlement management, and technician mobility.
- Provide technical leadership and establish best practices for Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, and platform governance.
- Design and implement integrations with ERP, SAP, CTI, middleware, inventory management, mobile applications, and external enterprise systems.
- Own Salesforce data models, security architecture, sharing models, and performance optimization strategies.
- Manage and optimize FSL configurations including service territories, resource scheduling, skills management, operating hours, and routing rules.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical production issues involving scheduling, routing, integrations, and service operations.
- Review solution designs, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to Salesforce development standards and architectural guidelines.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive CI/CD implementation, deployment governance, release planning, environment management, and regression testing activities using tools such as Copado and Jenkins.
- Mentor and lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance, architecture reviews, and career development support.
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements across Salesforce applications.
- Drive adoption of Agentforce, Einstein Copilot, AI-powered development practices, and prompt engineering standards to improve engineering productivity.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, backlog grooming, and retrospective discussions.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex Salesforce Service Cloud and FSL implementations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and innovation to enhance customer service and field service operations.
- Work closely with onsite and offshore teams to ensure successful project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Communicate technical risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and project status effectively to leadership and business stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile
- 7-9 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning (FSL) implementations.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering end-to-end customer service and field service solutions.
- Hands-on development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Platform Events, and Salesforce APIs.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications such as SAP, ERP, CTI platforms, middleware solutions, and custom microservices.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, security models, sharing rules, and platform best practices.
- Experience designing scalable and maintainable solutions for work order management, service scheduling, dispatching, entitlement management, and technician workflows.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and tools such as Copado, Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience reviewing technical designs, conducting code reviews, and enforcing development standards.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring Salesforce developers in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage technical escalations and production issues.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven integrations, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Familiarity with Agentforce, Salesforce Copilot, AI-assisted development practices, and prompt engineering concepts is highly desirable.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I (PD1) certification preferred; PD2 certification is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Self-driven professional with the ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle ambiguity effectively.
Good to Have
- Experience in Automotive, Manufacturing, After-Sales Service, or Field Operations domains.
- Exposure to Tableau, Redshift, Airflow, or service analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and integration governance practices.
- Experience with order management, warranty management, spare parts management, logistics, or service fulfillment processes.
- Strong JavaScript expertise beyond standard LWC development.
