Job summary

Yotta is seeking a Deployment Engineer for its India operations to drive end-to-end deployment and configuration of private and public cloud environments. The role emphasizes Linux systems, virtualization platforms, automation, and secure scalable infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on experience, scripting skills in Bash/Python, and familiarity with OpenStack or CloudStack, Ansible, Terraform, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in deployment and infrastructure automation.
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash or Python).
• Experience with private/public cloud deployments using OpenStack or CloudStack.
• Proficiency with Ansible and Terraform for provisioning and configuration.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Zabbix/Prometheus/Grafana.
• Understanding of storage, networking basics, and security practices.

Job Scope

We are looking for a Deployment Engineer with stronghands‑on experience in Linux systems, virtualization platforms, cloudorchestration technologies, and infrastructure automation. This role involvesend‑to‑end deployment and configuration of both private and public cloudenvironments, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure. The idealcandidate will also bring scripting proficiency and automation skills tostreamline cloud deployments and infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems(Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) on physical and virtual platforms.
• Install and manage hypervisors including KVM, VMware ESXi, and XenServer.
• Lead and implement private and public cloudinfrastructure using tools like OpenStack, Apache CloudStack, or otherorchestration platforms.
• Write and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python,or similar scripting languages for deployment and operational tasks.
• Use Ansible and Terraform to automate infrastructureprovisioning, configuration, and management.
• Implement and manage monitoring and observability toolssuch as Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Work with physical infrastructure teams to set up andtroubleshoot bare-metal hardware, storage systems, and networkconfigurations.
• Document architecture designs, implementation plans,SOPs, and deployment workflows.
• Ensure security best practices, system hardening, andcompliance with infrastructure policies.

Must-have skill

• Strong command of Linux system administration with proventroubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with virtualization platforms: KVM, VMware,Xen.
• Hands‑on experience in deploying any cloud orchestrationplatforms like OpenStack or CloudStack.
• Proficiency in scripting languages – Bash, Python, orsimilar.
• Deep understanding of automation tools like Ansible andTerraform.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools – Zabbix, Prometheus,Grafana.
• Solid understanding of storage technologies, RAIDconfigurations, and volume management.
• Familiarity with hardware components, serverinstallations, and physical infrastructure planning.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IPaddressing, routing, VLANs, and firewall basics.

Good-to-HaveSkills

• Certifications such as RHCE, VCP, LFCS, or similar.
• Exposure to container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)is a plus.
• Experience with cloud-native and hybrid infrastructuredeployments.
• Strong analytical thinking and excellentcommunication/documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in high-paced andmission-critical environments.
