Job summary

Yotta Data Services Private Limited in India is seeking an experienced Cloud Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in technical operations, a bachelor's degree in computer science, and hands-on experience with virtualization, Linux, networking, and storage. This role requires rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24x7 support model.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in similar roles in technical operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or graduation or equivalent.
• Experience with virtualization platforms: VMware, KVM, ESXi, Proxmox, Cloud Stack.
• Experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Storage tech experience: SAN, NAS, object storage.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willing to work in shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities

• 24x7 cloud monitoring and support.
• Administer and maintain cloud infrastructure, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure high availability and performance of virtualized environments, including resource optimization.
• Configure and manage network and storage resources (VLANs, IPs, storage volumes).
• Troubleshoot performance issues, errors and crashes.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities in this role will be centered around the following:

• 24x7 Cloud monitoring and support.
• Administer and maintain cloud infrastructure, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure high availability and performance of virtualized environments, including monitoring and optimizing resource utilization.
• Configure and manage network and storage resources, including VLANs, IP addresses, and storage volumes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including performance problems, errors, and system crashes.
• Develop and maintain documentation of infrastructure, including configuration, troubleshooting, and best practices.

Must-have skill

• Strong understanding of virtualisation platforms like VMware, KVM, ESXi, Proxmox and Cloud Stack.
• Experience with Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, CentOS, and RHEL.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage.
