Job summary

Lubrizol in Navi Mumbai is seeking a Demand Controller to drive short-term demand execution and cross-functional alignment. You will ensure data integrity and accurate signals for 2–12 weeks, review forecasts and orders, and coordinate with Sales, SCM, Customer Service, and Production Scheduling.

Responsibilities include identifying risks, tracking demand stability, and driving corrective actions to improve plan adherence and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related analytical field.
• 4+ years in demand planning or data-driven planning roles.
• Experience with sales orders, forecasts and short-term demand coordination.
• Proficient with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy, stability, and transparency of the short-term execution signal (2-12 weeks).
• Review customer forecasts and sales orders while maintaining an aligned view of near-term demand.
• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Production Scheduling on short-term adjustments.
• Highlight risks and opportunities; monitor demand patterns and adjust signals data-driven.
• Track metrics like demand stability and plan adherence.
• Inform demand planners of key changes and forecast risks.
• Provide visibility into short-term customer demand behavior (late orders, cancellations).
• Ensure demand data remains accurate, timely, and aligned with guidance.
• Validate system updates following rebalancing or input changes to maintain data integrity.
• Adhere to governance routines for demand control within Integrated Tactical Planning.
• Monitor demand realization and flag recurring issues (last-minute variations).
• Contribute to root-cause analysis for demand deviations and corrective actions.

As a Demand Controller, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving accurate short-term demand execution and enabling cross-functional alignment across the business. • Ensure the accuracy, stability, and transparency of the short-term execution signal (2-12 weeks).

• Review and analyze customer forecasts and sales orders while maintaining an aligned view of near-term demand.

• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Production Scheduling to clarify short-term adjustments and demand drivers.

• Highlight risks and opportunities, monitor demand patterns, and ensure execution signal adjustments are data-driven.

• Track performance metrics including demand stability, plan adherence, and drivers of week-to-week adjustments.

• Inform demand planners and supply planners of key changes, order shifts, and forecast risks.

• Provide visibility into short-term customer demand behavior, including late orders, cancellations, and abnormal patterns.

• Ensure demand data remains accurate, timely, and aligned with commercial guidance.

• Validate system updates following rebalancing or customer input changes to maintain data integrity.

• Adhere to governance routines for demand control within the Integrated Tactical Planning process.

• Monitor demand realization and flag recurring issues such as repeated last-minute order variations.

• Contribute to root-cause analysis for demand deviations and recommend corrective actions.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, or a related analytical field.
• 4 years of experience in demand planning, customer service, supply chain analysis, or a similar data-driven planning role and 10 years experience in Supply Chain domain
• Experience working with sales orders, customer forecasts, and short-term demand and supply coordination.
• Solid experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Proactive and accountable with the ability to anticipate issues, elevate early, and resolve short-term demand gaps.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward

• Experience with demand planning or forecasting platforms such as Kinaxis, OMP, o9, SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP), or equivalent systems.
