Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Demand Planner to develop and manage accurate demand forecasts that support effective supply chain and inventory planning. This role works closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to improve forecast accuracy and optimize inventory performance Demand Planner JD
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain demand forecasting models using historical and real-time data
- Analyze demand trends, seasonality, and promotional impacts
- Monitor forecast accuracy and continuously improve forecasting processes
- Integrate supply data including stock levels, open purchase orders, and confirmed sales
- Classify inventory risks (Overstock, At Risk, Shortage, Healthy)
- Collaborate with Sales and Supply Chain teams on monthly demand reviews
- Prepare demand review reports, dashboards, and S&OP presentations
- Identify process improvements and ensure audit-ready planning practices
- Accurate and timely demand forecasts
- Forecast accuracy and bias reports
- Inventory optimization insights
- Stock-out tracking and overstock reduction reporting
- Approved demand plans for upcoming cycles
Required Skills
Technical
- Advanced Excel and Power BI
- Forecasting techniques (Time-series, Croston’s method)
- Knowledge of KPIs (MAPE, Forecast Bias, Service Level, Inventory Turns)
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Problem-solving and structured thinking
- Ability to work under deadlines and ambiguity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Analytics, or related field
- MBA/Master’s preferred (not mandatory)
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain roles
