Job summary

Acuity Analytics in India is seeking a Senior Associate for the Private Markets division. You will review NAVs, prepare financials, and handle capital calls, distributions, and investor communications.

You will develop KPIs, set up controls, and assist in onboarding funds on Investran, Geneva, and eFront, while managing client relationships and delivering timely reporting to funds and portfolio companies.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Private Equity Fund Accounting and NAV/financials review.
• Familiar with capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting.
• Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis.
• Experience with Investran, Geneva and eFront is a plus.

Job Purpose

The job role is in the Private Markets division at Acuity, one of the fastest growing segments within the firm. This opportunity is ideal for a private equity /investment banking / strategy consulting professional who is interested in working with leading global private equity funds and corporations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review of NAV and Financials of the Private equity and Hybrid Funds that include recording Journal Entries, preparing monthly/Quarterly/Annual Financials, processing payments, preparing investor notices and various client reporting.
• Review Capital Call and distribution workings along with notices and release to respective investors.
• Develop various KPIs to be followed and ensure all necessary controls are put in place in the process.
• Creating / updating fund track record and reconciling the data using cash flow notices
• Managing the client relationships for the Funds and individually handle the deliverable requirements on daily/weekly/monthly/Quarterly basis.
• Onboard new PE/Hybrid Funds in the accounting platforms (Investran, Geneva and eFront)
• Preparation of quarterly reports to investors on the funds’ and portfolio companies’ performance (comprising NAV, DVPI, TVPI, IRRs, costs and investors’ capital accounts)
• Identify and implement process improvement techniques to improve the process efficiency and team productivity.
• Cash reconciliation for PE Funds.
• Setting up SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) by laying down the processes and internal check frameworks to achieve the overall objective
• Client Management: Understanding project request, negotiate deadline and handling client queries
• Project Management: Project structuring, planning, conceptualizing output

Key Competencies

• CFA, Chartered Accountant, MBA from a top tier business school
• 2-4 years of strong experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Private Equity, Real Estate, PE Co-investment, PE Fund of Funds
• Strong in finance fundamentals and analytical skills
• Excellent in MS Excel to process varied data sets
• Knowledge of databases including Investran, Ilevel, Efront is an added advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
• Dedicated and motivated individuals having demonstrated academic excellence with project management, client relationship management, analytical, and teamwork skills
