Job summary

Acuity Analytics is seeking a Sr. Associate/Associate/Delivery Lead/Delivery Manager to join its Private Markets team in Gurgaon. The role emphasizes valuation analysis, client interaction, and independent project handling, with 2–8 years of relevant experience and CFA/MBA qualifications.

The successful candidate will track investments, perform detailed valuations, and collaborate with global private equity funds and corporates, contributing to high-impact deals and portfolio management.

Qualifications

• CFA or MBA in Strategy, Finance, Operations or Economics.
• 2-8 years of experience in strategy research and analysis across industries.
• 2-3 years of direct client communication experience.
• Experience handling projects independently.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, with ability to synthesize information.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Track/monitor new and existing client investments and analyze valuation provided by GP monthly, quarterly and yearly.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of new investments/deals and validate valuation assumptions.
• Calculate ROI/MOIC, FMV, IRR for new deals and existing portfolio.
• Analyze financial statements and key operating metrics.
• Identify drivers for MOIC/valuation changes across cycles.
• Prepare detailed valuation templates using various methodologies.
• Arrive at final valuation using comps/DCF/NAV approaches.
• Interact with stakeholders to capture all deal information (ownership, structure).
• Assess investment nature (direct, co-investment, secondary).
• Understand private equity structures and PE funds.

Job Purpose

The job role is in the Private Markets division at Acuity, one of the fastest growing segments within the firm. This opportunity is ideal for a private equity /investment banking / strategy consulting professional who is interested in working with leading global private equity funds and corporations.

Key Responsibilities

• Tracking/monitoring new and existing client investments and analyse valuation shared by GP on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• In depth analysis of new Investments/deals and ensuring viability for all valuation assumptions /support.
• Calculating ROI/MOIC, FMV, IRR for the new deals and existing investment portfolio
• Analysing financial statements and key operating metrics
• Identifying drivers for change in MOIC/valuation for different valuation cycles
• Preparing detailed valuation templates for each investment using different valuation methodologies
• Ability to arrive and analyse final valuation using Comps/DCF/NAV approach
• Regular interaction with the stake holders and capture all information related to deal closing (ownership, deal structure etc.)
• Ability to judge the nature of investments (direct, co-investment, secondary etc.)
• Deep understanding of private equity structure and working of PE funds
• Hands-on experience evaluating private company valuations, ownership structures, and seed to Series-stage fundraising activities
• Responsible for regular interaction with client

Key Competencies

• CFA/ MBA in Strategy, Finance, Operations or Economics
• 2-8 years of experience in strategy research and analysis, preferably across industries
• At least 2-3 years of experience in directly communicating with clients. Experience in managing client communications solo will be considered an added advantage
• Experience in handling projects independently
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills, as evidenced by extensive experience in utilizing those skills in research and consulting environment. Adept at synthesizing information to generate insights
