Job summary

Crisil is seeking a Private Markets Analyst to support portfolio monitoring and surveillance for a US-based asset manager. You will gather data, build analyses, and prepare investment-related presentations for the investment team.

You will perform financial modeling, credit analysis, and reporting, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 1–6 years of experience in private equity/credit.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis, and data analysis.
• CFA designation or in progress preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support monitor and analyze portfolio company performance and KPIs.
• Gather financial data regularly for investment team consumption.
• Prepare presentations and write-ups for internal and external meetings.
• Provide ongoing financial reporting on portfolio companies.
• Assist with market research and ad-hoc studies for new business opportunities.
• Develop standardized info packs and monthly management variance analyses.
• Support valuation models, credit scoring, and scenario analyses for investments.
• Conduct news searches and maintain updated information on investments.

Support the Private Markets Team of a US-based Alternative Asset Manager in portfolio monitoring & surveillance and providing valuable insights

• Monitor financial performance and key performance indicators of portfolio companies
• Gathering business, financial data on borrower companies on a regular basis for consumption by investment team
• Presentation and write-ups support for investment team for internal and external meetings
• Financial reporting on portfolio companies on an ongoing basis
• Research support on an ad-hoc basis in supporting investment team needs in securing new business e.g., market studies and research, market trends,
• Development of standardized info pack for each investment in the portfolio. Monthly management reporting and variance analysis
• Financial analysis, financial modelling, credit scoring assistance to investment team including scenario Analysis
• Development and maintenance of valuation models for all investments
• Monitor financial performance and key performance indicators of portfolio companies
• News and information search support for existing and potential investments

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 1-6 years of experience in private equity/credit.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis, and data analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in assessing credit risk, financial statement analysis, and interpreting complex financial data.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Candidates with a CFA designation or those actively pursuing the CFA program will be given preference.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Bloomberg, and other relevant financial analysis tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial information effectively.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
