The role requires 10+ years in technical facilities management, with electrical/domain expertise and strong leadership to coordinate cross-functional teams. Travel ~10% and a focus on continuous improvement are essential.

About the Role : DC Operations

Role Objective:

1. Operations Excellence

• (a) To Lead and Manage DC facilities across locations and maintain 100% uptime.
• (b) Risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure ensuring infrastructure is Up and Running 24x7.
• (c) Infrastructure related state of art tech / practices that creates competitive differentiators
• (d) DC related Asset and spares inventory management and assistance in security incident management.
• (e) Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of our DC and utilizing those metrics to drive improvement and positive changes.
• (f) Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis and identify improvement areas and respond to contingency situations.
• (g) Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management and reporting.
• (h) Review AMC & SLA Compliance, improving the operational procedures to ensure quality service delivery and customer SLAs.
• (i) Procurement for DC Operations related materials and budget management for the assigned locations.
• (j) Implementing predictive maintenance practice by scaling up preventive maintenance.
• (k) Automation in datacentre operation and adherence to datacentre process management.

2. Customer / Stakeholder Management

• (a) Maintain transparent, regular and timely flow of communication with customer management on the state of the DCs and Operations.
• (b) Build & maintain professional relationship with the DISCOM, Landlords, Critical Facility Management Partners, DC Construction Team, Technical Program Managers and Security Team
• (c) Liaising with cross functional teams & business leaders to manage capacity and optimize DC Operations safety, performance, reliability and efficiency. Handle large customers visits and queries to support future business.
• (d) Managing relationships with internal & external stakeholders / partners to constantly improve all our processes and procedures and focus on improving the processes, quality and service delivery standards.
• (e) Lead the quarterly performance reviews along with continuous improvement in scores.
• (f) Strong in customer engagement having good understanding of customer expectations and meeting the requirement with decided path.

3. Team Management

• (a) To Lead DC Operations and CSM vendor teams to ensure stable, secure, optimum operations performance.
• (b) Retain Talent through involved leadership.
• (c) To Manage and Develop team providing both technical and leadership expertise. Increase cross functional training, independent decision making and develop successors.
• (d) Participate in talent acquisition and management efforts by continually raising the bar.
• (e) Actively identify training & development needs ensuring Individual and team's performance growth.
• (f) Earn trust with subordinates, superiors and peers to meet organization goal with team effort.

4. Strategy Management

• (a) Develop and execute a comprehensive Data Centre (DC) Operations plan to exceed business objectives.
• (b) Participates in strategic projects like RE power (Solar/Wind/Hybrid), saving of energy, operations efficiency
• (c) Be a strong advocate of DC policy, procedures and standards to make sure that DCs are designed to meet local regulatory requirements and global audit and security standards.
• (d) Review and recommend changes in policies and procedures applicable for DC Management.
• (e) As domain expert, provide advice to India management and collaborate with regional/ global DC counterparts to understand latest global standards and directions to implement it in India.
• (f) Capacity Planning - Through regular monitoring of DC capacity, design and implement strategic plans to ensure DC capacity meets existing and future requirements.
• (g) Contribute to RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, Scope of Work finalization, and other aspects of DC Operations.

5. Required Candidate Profile

• BE/B.tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Varsigma or equivalent)
• Navy Electrical Branch (Submarine/Ship) || Army (EME)
• MBA (Desirable)
• 10+ years of experience in the management of technical Engineering facilities and/or Data Center facilities and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure
• (a) 8+Experience in a management position
• (b) In depth and hands on experience and knowledge of Data Centres facilities such as electrical sub distribution systems, H.T. and L.T. Panels, Power and Distribution transformers, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, UPS, fire detection and suppression systems, Bus-Duct System, cable reticulation system.
• (c) Well versed with internal auditing processes and monitoring methodology.
• (d) To have a customer service centric attitude, effective and decisive leadership having ability to work with distributed teams across the company and have the mindset to manage things 24X7.
• (e) Strong leadership and organizational skills
• (f) Execution focus with the ability to handle multiple partners in a fast-paced environment
• (g) Excellent communications, decision making, conflict management, coaching skills.
• (h) Good logical reasoning and reasonable analytical skill.
• (i) Eye for partner penetration to get more customers on board
• (j) Willingness to travel ~10% time.
