Job summary

Datacultr is looking for a talented Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join their Engineering team in Gurugram, India. The ideal candidate will oversee various projects while ensuring the effective implementation of Agile practices. Responsibilities include leading scrum teams, facilitating ceremonies, and coaching teams on Agile methodologies.

The successful individual will have significant experience managing Agile development teams and possess strong leadership skills. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and Agile certifications are also required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and software development practices.
• Experience facilitating scrum ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile practices.

Position Overview

• We are seeking a talented Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join our Engineering team.
• Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects and scrum processes.
• As a Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of Agile practices, facilitate scrum ceremonies, and drive continuous improvement in our development processes.
• The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing scrum teams in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple project scrum teams within the Engineering Department, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products within agreed timelines.
• Facilitate all scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are conducted effectively and with maximum team participation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize and groom the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Coach and mentor scrum teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles, practices, and values, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Track and communicate project progress, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and visibility into the project status.
• Identify and address any impediments or roadblocks that may affect team productivity, working collaboratively to find solutions and ensure smooth project execution.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting effective communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
• Continuously assess and improve Agile processes and practices, implementing best practices and introducing new tools or techniques to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new Agile methodologies, and emerging tools, recommending and implementing changes as appropriate.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing Agile development teams.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and software development practices.
• Experience facilitating scrum ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile practices and values.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in Agile project management tools (Jira) and collaboration platforms.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and best practices.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment, preferably with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
