Job summary

Coeo Ltd. is hiring a Database Administrator in Hyderabad. You will manage and optimize databases, implement backups, security, and DR plans, and collaborate with development and operations teams.

The role emphasizes data integrity, performance, and cloud/virtualization experience in a hybrid work setup. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in DBA roles, experience with MSSQL, Postgres, MySQL, SSIS, and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in database administration or similar role.
• Experience with database backup, disaster recovery planning, performance optimization and data security.
• Proficiency with container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL and MySQL database systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain database documentation, data standards, and definitions.
• Identify and implement database requirements with cross‑functional teams.
• Optimize performance and efficiency with new database technologies.
• Support users and developers by resolving data-related issues and guiding best practices.
• Execute regular maintenance: backups, defragmentation, replication.

Coeo is recruiting a strong Database Administrator, we’ll give you the opportunity to grow and develop your capabilities as well as support you through Microsoft certifications. You’ll have experience in:

Experience:

• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for data elements and tables in the company.
• Identify and implement database requirements for new or existing applications by working collaboratively with other teams.
• Optimize database performance and efficiency by evaluating and recommending new database technologies.
• Support users and developers by resolving data-related technical issues and troubleshooting queries by guiding them with best practices.
• Execute regular database maintenance tasks, including database defragmentation, backups, and database replication.
• Design, install, configure and maintain database systems, including monitoring, patching, tuning and troubleshooting issues.
• Provide a seamless flow of information by keeping the database running smoothly.
• Ensure data security and integrity, including implementation of access controls, backups and recovery plans.
• Support ongoing database operations to support application and customer activities

Expertise you will bring in:

• 6+ years of experience in database administration or in a similar role
• Experience in database backup, disaster recovery planning, performance optimization and data security
• Extensive knowledge of container orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of database management systems such as MSSQL, Postgres and MySQL
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide quick solutions to issues
• Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies
• Need to be able to support SSIS packages.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems and hands-on experience with Git
