Ruder Finn India is seeking a senior data analyst to join its Emerging Technology & Analytics team. The chosen candidate will lead research activities such as earned media analysis, social listening, influencer identification, data modeling, and predictive analytics for client work.

You will collaborate with account teams and, under the guidance of the CTO in New York, translate analytics into actionable business insights for Consumer, Technology, and Healthcare accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, CS, statistics, math or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of analytics and insight experience, ideally with agency exposure.
  • Experience with social listening tools and writing complex Boolean queries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports measuring KPIs and optimizing performance.
  • Assist with weekly trend reporting on social media and cultural trends.
  • Own ad hoc and crisis monitoring and reporting with insights on media events and impacts.
  • Advise the team on opportunities found in the data and push for improvements.
  • Guide and mentor Junior Analysts.

Job description

Ruder Finn is seeking a senior data analyst to join its award-winning Emerging Technology & Analytics team. The chosen candidate will support the agency’s new business efforts by spearheading research activities such as but not limited to earned media analysis, social listening, influencer identification, data modeling, and predictive analytics. This individual will collaborate with several account teams within the agency providing counsel as needed on the various research and analytics needs of the agency’s clients. As a Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the Chief Technology Officer based in New York, NY, on several innovative Consumer, Technology, and Healthcare-related client accounts. The ideal candidate would be a digital native with deep expertise in and a passion for data visualization and storytelling, statistics, web analytics, social media analytics, and the ability to connect the dots back to business objectives. Ultimately, your work will help define the business strategy for projects and clients and play a significant role in the growth of the agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports measuring KPIs and finding optimizations.
  • Assist with weekly trend reporting, ensuring the team is up to date on the latest social media and cultural trends.
  • Own ad hoc and crisis monitoring and reporting, providing insight into media events and their impacts.
  • Advise the team on opportunities you find in the data and consistently push for improvements.
  • Guide and support Junior Analysts, providing mentorship and instruction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • A Minimum of 4 years of analytics and insight experience, ideally with agency exposure.
  • Experience with social listening tools like Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Meltwater, or Quid. Able to write complex Boolean queries.
  • Experience with paid social media advertising reporting.
  • Experience with consumer facing brand preferable
  • Strong writing and storytelling capabilities.
  • Initiative-driven, detail-oriented, and dependable under pressure.
  • A collaborative team player with leadership potential.
