Job summary

Embarkgcc Services in Mumbai invites a Deputy Manager to lead privacy and data protection initiatives within the Cyber Team. You will shape policies, perform DPIAs, and guide clients on risk assessments and governance to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, deliver risk mitigation strategies, and help design privacy controls aligned with client requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8–13 years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE or similar).
• Strong knowledge of data protection laws and India’s regulations.

Job Summary

Your work profile: As Deputy Manager in our Cyber Team, you'll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations.

Develop data protection policies and procedures in accordance with privacy laws and regulations for clients.

Conduct assessments to identify potential data privacy and protection risks and develop mitigation strategies for clients as per their requirements.

Monitor and evaluate data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection laws and company policies as per client requirement.

Provide guidance and support to the clients on conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), conducting risk assessments, data governance, application, privacy impact assessments.

Design and build security / privacy framework, design/re-design processes and privacy controls to ensure framework development for clients.

• Controlling - Cost Centre Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the Personal Data Protection Bill in India.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelors degree in law, information technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
