Job summary

Eagle Information Systems is seeking Data Center Hands & Feet L1 Engineers to provide onsite physical support for servers, network, storage and other IT infrastructure. The role involves executing physical tasks as instructed by remote L2/L3 teams, basic troubleshooting, equipment checks, cabling, hardware replacement and maintaining data center documentation.

Key responsibilities include server and network checks, cabling and rack operations, asset management and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Entry-level to mid-level data center experience may apply.
• Hands-on support for servers, network, storage and related devices.
• Follow SOPs/MOPs and changes for daily data center tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite Hands & Feet support for data center equipment.
• Run server/network device checks, power cycles and health checks.
• Assist with server installation, rack & stack and de-racking.
• Trace and patch cables, manage labeling and cable organization.
• Support hardware replacement such as HDD/SSD, RAM and PSUs.
• Report LED/status indicators, alarms and hardware alerts.
• Assist L2/L3 teams during troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Maintain asset identification, inventory and rack documentation.
• Coordinate with OEM/vendor engineers during onsite support.
• Update tickets with activity details and findings.

Job Summary

We are looking for Data Center Hands & Feet L1 Engineers to provide onsite physical support for servers, network, storage and other IT infrastructure. The role involves executing physical tasks as instructed by remote L2/L3 teams, basic troubleshooting, equipment checks, cabling, hardware replacement and maintaining data center documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform onsite Hands & Feet support for servers, network, storage and other data center equipment.
• Perform physical server/network device checks, power cycling and equipment health checks.
• Assist with server installation, rack & stack, de-racking and equipment relocation.
• Perform cable tracing, patching, labeling and cable management.
• Support hardware replacement activities such as HDD/SSD, RAM, power supply, fan and other FRUs under approved instructions.
• Check and report LED/status indicators, alarms and hardware alerts.
• Assist remote L2/L3 teams during troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Perform console access, reboot and basic device-level checks as instructed.
• Support installation and replacement of network devices, servers and storage equipment.
• Maintain proper asset identification, inventory and rack documentation.
• Follow approved SOPs, MOPs and change procedures for all activities.
• Update tickets with activity details, photographs, serial numbers and resolution information where required.
• Coordinate with OEM/vendor engineers during onsite hardware support.
• Support scheduled maintenance windows, patching activities and data center changes.
• Escalate any abnormality or hardware issue to the appropriate L2/L3 team.
