Job summary

Nuvama Wealth And Investment is seeking a Data Centre Engineer on a contractual basis to manage day-to-day health and reporting of the core data center infrastructure at multiple sites in Mumbai. The role requires hands-on experience with Dell EMC, HP Enterprise servers, storage, and VMware; coordination with third-party vendors; and strong Windows/Linux server skills.

Excellent vendor liaison and change-management abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Dell EMC, HP Enterprise, or Data Center technologies will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Center Operations, Infrastructure Support, or Server Administration.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the day-to-day health, and reporting of the core DATA Centre infrastructure facilities.
• Experience with Dell / HP Rackmount and Blade Servers & Storage Systems.
• Work directly with third party engineers, including security access and delivery of equipment.
• Fault finding complex hardware issues directly with vendors.
• Manage and Coordinate activities related to hardware decommissioning, rack moves and services migration within various Data Centres.
• Understanding and hands on experience on Windows & Unix Operating systems, FTP / File Serers .
• Change Management - Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and ensure proper communication to all stakeholders
• Backup operations management
• DATA Centre Inventory Management
• Manage and coordinate with vendors to resolve any incidents during emergency situations
• Regularly inspect and evaluate physical condition of facility
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office 365 suite, Excel, Power Point, Word and Mail applications
• Business Acumen - Knows how business works
