Job summary

Forward Eye Technologies seeks a Wintel System Engineer to manage Windows Server environments, VM creation, OS installation, patching, and log analysis. You will support data centre operations across Windows platforms and virtualization technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Windows (Wintel) Administration.
• Strong experience in Windows deployment and Data Centre Operations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and system platform knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute: Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).
• Manage Data Centre operations including VM creation, OS installation, and server configuration.
• Oversee virtualization environments (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Nutanix AHV) and manage users, groups, and permissions.
• Monitor server health, handle incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement and support enterprise backup and recovery with Commvault.
• Troubleshoot Windows services, event logs, performance bottlenecks, and resource utilization.
• Coordinate with network, storage, backup, and app teams during incidents and deployments.
• Document SOPs, build documents, and operation procedures.

Role Summary

Wintel System Engineer responsible for Windows Server Administration and Data Centre Operations including VM creation, OS installation, VM configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, and log analysis. A Data Centre Support Engineer with strong expertise in managing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure across Windows Server platforms, virtualization environments, and enterprise backup solutions. Experienced in ensuring high availability, performance optimization, system security, and operational stability within mission‑critical environments.

Responsibilities

Execute:

• Installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Windows Server environments:
  1. Microsoft Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022)
  2. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS
  3. System hardening, patch management, performance tuning, and log analysis.
• Data Centre operational activities such as VM creation, OS installation, and server configuration.
• Hands‑on experience in managing virtualized environments:
  1. VMware vSphere / ESXi
  2. Nutanix AHV
  3. Managing users, groups, file systems, permissions, and IP configuration.
• Monitoring server health, handling incidents, and performing root cause analysis.
• Implementation and support of enterprise backup and recovery strategies using Commvault.
• Troubleshooting Windows services, event logs, performance bottlenecks, and resource utilization.
• Coordination with network, storage, backup, and application teams during incidents and deployments.
• Documentation of SOPs, build documents, and operational procedures.
