Job summary

Forward Eye Technologies is seeking an experienced Wintel System Engineer to lead Windows Server administration and data centre operations. You will handle VM creation, OS installation, patching, log analysis, and overall system hardening to ensure high availability.

The role requires 6+ years in Windows administration, expertise in virtualization (VMware/Nutanix), and solid experience with backup solutions such as Commvault. Hybrid work from Noida location is expected.

Role Summary

Wintel System Engineer responsible for Windows Server Administration and Data Centre Operations including VM creation, OS installation, VM configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, and log analysis. A Data Centre Support Engineer with strong expertise in managing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure across Windows Server platforms, virtualization environments, and enterprise backup solutions. Experienced in ensuring high availability, performance optimization, system security, and operational stability within mission‑critical environments.

Responsibilities

Execute:

• Installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Windows Server environments:
  1. Microsoft Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022)
  2. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS
  3. System hardening, patch management, performance tuning, and log analysis.
• Data Centre operational activities such as VM creation, OS installation, and server configuration.
• Hands‑on experience in managing virtualized environments:
  1. VMware vSphere / ESXi
  2. Nutanix AHV
  3. Managing users, groups, file systems, permissions, and IP configuration.
• Monitoring server health, handling incidents, and performing root cause analysis.
• Implementation and support of enterprise backup and recovery strategies using Commvault.
• Troubleshooting Windows services, event logs, performance bottlenecks, and resource utilization.
• Coordination with network, storage, backup, and application teams during incidents and deployments.
• Documentation of SOPs, build documents, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Windows (Wintel) Administration.
• Strong experience in Windows deployment and Data Centre Operations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and system platform knowledge.

Required Skillset

• Strong hands‑on experience in Windows Server Administration.
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy management.
• Patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Virtualization: VMware, Nutanix.
• Backup & restore operations using Commvault.
• Platform support and deployment experience.
• Good troubleshooting acumen and log analysis skills.
• Linux administration: Good Linux hands‑on, package management (Satellite, RIDM, SUSE Manager), KVM, VMware, Nutanix.
