Job summary

Tekskills in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Network Engineer focused on routing, switching, data center and Cisco Nexus ecosystems to design and implement robust LAN/WAN solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting of Cisco platforms (Cat 6500/6800, Nexus series), VXLAN-EVPN and related technologies, plus clear communication with engineers and customers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge on routing and switching technologies including IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN
• Experience with Data Center, Cloud and Virtualization industry; ACI, Nexus products
• LAN SW technologies including STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPN, DCNM, OTV, Fex, Fabricpath, VXlan, LISP

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies and platforms
• Network solution designing for Cisco routers and switches
• Excellent written and verbal communication to convey technology strategy and architecture to engineers and customers

Role & responsibilities

• Experienced Knowledge on LAN SW Technologies like STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPN, DCNM, OTV, Fex, Fabricpath, VXlan, LISP.
• Knowledge of Cisco switching Platforms like Cat 6500, 6800, 4500, 3850, Nexus 7K,Nexus 5k, Nexus 3K and Nexus9k ( standalone and ACI)Experience in installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting andor
• Network solution designing of Cisco routers and switch
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approach to engineers, executives, and Cisco customers.
• Strong consulting client-facing skills to include cross-functional influence, external and internal consulting Desired Skills (Good to have as value add to this role) Prior experience of conducting customer workshops, High level.
