Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Bengaluru seeks a Senior Network Engineer with 6–15 years' experience in data center networks. You will work on Nexus platforms, ACI, and overlay technologies, with emphasis on VXLAN/EVPN, BGP EVPN, LISP, and related Cisco products.

Responsibilities include design reviews, implementation planning, hands-on testing with traffic generators, and mentoring junior engineers while driving automation initiatives using Python/Ansible/Rest APIs.

Qualifications

• Strong Nexus and ACI knowledge with hands-on experience.
• Expertise in VXLAN, EVPN, OTV, LISP, VPC, VDC, FabricPath, ISSU.
• Deep understanding of L2/L3 switching and data center networking.
• Familiar with Cisco SDN/Cisco Programmable Network Portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and review deliverables: High/Low Level Design, implementation plans.
• Hands-on testing and troubleshooting of Cisco data center solutions.
• Mentor small teams and conduct customer workshops.
• Collaborate on network automation initiatives (Python/Ansible/REST).

Role : Network DC ACI VXLAN Nexus

YOE : 6 to 15

Location : Bengaluru

JD :

• Strong Nexus 2K/3K/5K/7K/9K platform knowledge and hands on experience and ACI.
• Has knowledge and experience in overlay technologies VXLAN, BGP EVPN, OTV, LISP,VPC,VDC, FabricPath, ISSU and DC-Switching
• HSRP, VRRP, VLAN, VTP, STP, RSTP, MSTP, Macsec, PFC etc.
• L2 Switching
• Knowledge of software programmability (Python/ansible/Rest APIs), Automation

• Creates and reviews project deliverables e.g. Design recommendations, High Level Design, Low Level Design, Implementation/Change Management Plans o Hands-on with Traffic Generator tools like Ixia, Spirent etc.
• Knowledge on Routing and switching Technologies like IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN
• Knowledge on Data Center, Cloud and Virtualization industry, ACI, Nexus products
• Experienced Knowledge on LAN SW Technologies like STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPN, DCNM, OTV, Fex, Fabricpath, VXlan, LISP.
• Knowledge of Cisco switching Platforms like Cat 6500, 6800, 4500, 3850, Nexus 7K, Nexus 5k, Nexus 3K and Nexus9k (standalone and ACI)
• Experience in installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting and/or Network solution designing of Cisco routers and switch

Ability to lead and mentor small teams independently.

• Deep technical knowledge / understandings of L2 / L3 networking protocols and technologies (VPC, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
• Strong Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K platform knowledge and hands-on experience
• Knowledge of overlay technologies VXLAN, BGP EVPN, OTV, LISP
• knowledge and understandings of Cisco SDN based technologies such as Cisco ACI, Cisco Programmable Network Portfolio (Standalone VXLAN-Fabric) and DCNM.
• Familiar with computing, virtualization, and container environments (Cisco UCS, Hyperflex, VMware, Microsoft, Kubernetes)

• Prior experience of conducting customer workshops, High level and low level network design experience would be preferred.
• Experience with Virtualization (OpenStack / VMware vSphere / Microsoft Hyper V / Red Hat KVM / Linux Containers etc) CX Centres Professional Services Consolidated
• Routing & Switching Ent Domain
• Knowledge of emerging technologies like SDA/ SDWAN preferred
• Knowledge of UCS products and Hyperflex , DCNM, Nexus Dashboard
• Network automation skills preferred (Python/ Ansible/ GoLang/ Splunk)
