Job summary

Akriya Group is seeking an experienced Data Architect in Mumbai to own data architecture across engineering squads. You will design and optimize data models, ELT pipelines and ensure data quality, security and performance.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong SQL/Python and expertise across Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and cloud platforms. Lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, and drive CI/CD for data workloads while collaborating with product and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Architect-level experience in data architecture roles.
• Hands-on SQL or Python experience for data engineering.
• Experience in data warehousing/lakehouse modeling and pipeline design.
• Expertise in orchestration and Git-based CI/CD for data workloads.
• Understanding of data quality, testing, observability and cloud platforms.
• Strong technical leadership, communication and ownership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own technical design and delivery for engineering squads.
• Design and optimize data models and ELT/streaming pipelines.
• Ensure performance, reliability, data quality and security.
• Drive code reviews, testing, CI/CD and automation.
• Mentor engineers and establish technical best practices.

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with strong hands‑on expertise in data engineering, cloud data platforms, data modeling, and modern data pipeline architecture.
