Job summary

Edgematics is seeking a hands-on Data Architect with 15+ years of experience to design scalable data solutions across data modeling, warehousing, and cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and Azure.

You will lead architecture, presales activities, and collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, and clients to deliver secure, high-performance data platforms, including Medallion Architecture and modern data migrations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead data architecture and data modeling initiatives end to end.

• Architect data models using Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault 2.0.

About the Role

Edgematics is looking for an experienced Data Architect with 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and modern cloud data platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, Microsoft Fabric, Medallion Architecture, Snowflake, Databricks, and Cloud platforms, along with experience in large-scale data migration, modernization, and end-to-end solution architecture.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, architects, and clients to design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions. Strong client-facing, stakeholder management, and presales/solutioning experience will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data architecture and data modeling initiatives from requirement gathering through solution design and implementation.
• Design scalable enterprise data warehouse, data lake, and modern data platform architectures.
• Define and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers) for modern data platforms.
• Design data models using Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault 2.0 methodologies.
• Architect and support data migration, data integration, and data modernization initiatives across multiple data sources.
• Work with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and Azure environments.
• Define ETL/ELT architecture and ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable data pipelines.
• Establish data quality, governance, security, metadata, and data management standards.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, BI teams, Solution Architects, and business stakeholders.
• Analyze existing data platforms and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Create and maintain data architecture documents, data models, technical specifications, and data dictionaries.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering and architecture teams.
• Participate in solutioning and presales activities, including client discussions, requirement analysis, architecture proposals, and technical presentations.
• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Mandatory Skills

• 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Data Warehousing and Data Modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture Bronze, Silver & Gold.
• Expertise in Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault 2.0.

Education

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
