Job summary

Akriya Group is seeking an experienced Data Architect in Mumbai to lead data architecture and build scalable data pipelines. You will own design decisions, model data structures, and optimize ELT/streaming workflows across cloud platforms.

Applicants should demonstrate strong SQL/Python experience, data warehousing/lakehouse modeling, and orchestration with Git‑based CI/CD. Immediate joiners preferred and collaboration with cross‑functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Architect‑level experience required.
• Strong hands‑on SQL or Python expertise for data engineering.
• Experience in data warehousing/lakehouse modeling and pipeline design.
• Expertise in orchestration and Git‑based CI/CD for data workloads.
• Understanding of data quality, testing, observability, and cloud platforms.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, and ownership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own technical design and delivery for engineering squads.
• Design and optimize data models and ELT/streaming pipelines.
• Ensure performance, reliability, data quality, and security.
• Drive code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and automation.
• Mentor engineers and establish technical best practices.
• Collaborate with Architects, Product Managers, and cross‑functional teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive preventive actions.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and reusable components.
