Job summary

Schindler India in Surat, Gujarat is hiring a Customer Engineer - Existing Installation to service and maintain elevators and related equipment. You will execute call-backs on existing installations, perform safety inspections, and diagnose issues to ensure reliability and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5 to 12 years of experience in elevator or manufacturing service/maintenance, with a mechanical/electrical background.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics) or ITI required.
• 5 to 12 years of experience in Elevator or manufacturing service/maintenance.
• Strong maintenance and repair technical skills, customer service orientation, planning and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Execute call-backs on existing elevator installations, promptly addressing customer concerns to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections on elevators to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Perform intricate repair tasks on elevator systems, including troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control systems issues with high technical precision.
• Interact with customers to diagnose issues and provide solutions, maintaining a professional demeanor and fostering a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with colleagues, managers, and engineers to share insights and coordinate efforts on more complex repair and service tasks, ensuring efficient resolution and continuous improvement.
