Job summary

Blue Star, Ahmedabad unit, is seeking a Mechanical engineer with strong Refrigeration knowledge for cold room projects. You will coordinate planning, installation, costing and project management to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

The role demands 3–10 years of experience in mechanical disciplines, with AutoCAD familiarity and good interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and vendors in a fast‑paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical is required.
• 3–10 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of refrigeration and cold rooms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Experience of service delivery for cold rooms and cold storages.
• End‑to‑end planning of low side work, coordinating with materials dept, raising PR/ICO to factory.
• Provide drawings to customers and obtain necessary approvals.
• Conduct installation audits to comply with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct timely training programmes for channel and associates to upgrade skills.
• Release work orders, control installation costs within budgeted value and ensure timely payments to vendors and collections of low side payments from customers.
• Support NAD team with site visits, estimation and post‑delivery installation processes.
• Track, monitor and ensure closure of escalations.
• Develop new associates to ensure timely installation and handover of sites.

• Knowledge of Refrigeration with exposure to planning and installation of cold rooms.
• Project management skills – selection of units, required installation accessories, and heat load calculations.
• Costing skills and resolution for technical troubleshooting.
• Interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD including square meter calculations.
• Knowledge of cold rooms and understanding their dimensions.
