Job summary

V.Group, a global leader in ship management, is seeking a Crew Coordinator in Mumbai to manage seafarer mobilization for specific nationalities. You will coordinate with training centres and medical providers and contact seafarers through the mobilization process.

The role requires handling pre-joining docs, certifications, and medical appointments, plus maintaining records and training enrollments. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate or a Bachelor’s/College Degree.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with people at all levels.
• Good computer operating skills including Word and spreadsheet experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely processing of visa and other joining formalities.
• Ensures that all pre-joining documents are complete, checked and verified as genuine.
• Responsible for pre-joining preparation of approved personnel: certification, courses and tests, medical examination appointment.
• Maintains contact with personnel while on leave and during mobilization.
• Responsible for making all Training enrollments.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in ShipSure Crewing and uploading documents as required.
• Responsible for processing flag state document applications and maintaining control procedures.
• Provides administrative assistance to other members of the Crew Cell.
• Performs any other matters as may be required by the Crew Supply Manager.

Overall Purpose of The Job

The Crew Coordinator will be responsible for the execution of the mobilization process of seafarers of particular nationalities. The role is also responsible for coordinating with training centres and medical providers when necessary as well as contacting seafarers on the process of mobilization.

• Responsible for processing flag state document applications and maintaining control procedures.
• Provides administrative assistance to other members of the Crew Cell
• Performs any other matters as may be required by the Crew Supply Manager in the efficient running of the Office.

• Must posses at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Bachelor’s/College Degree from any field
