Job description

Role Summary

The Crew Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing the deployment of personnel (crew, engineers, technicians, and contractors) for projects or vessel operations. The role ensures that all manpower requirements are met efficiently, in compliance with labor regulations, safety standards, and project schedules. The Crew Coordinator acts as the primary interface between project management, HR, operations, and onboard/offshore teams to ensure seamless crew mobilization and effective workforce management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of crew members for vessels, offshore platforms, or project sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of crew assignments, contracts, certifications, and training.
  • Ensure all crew members comply with statutory and company requirements, including visas, medicals, vaccinations, and safety training.
  • Coordinate with HR, operations, and project teams to meet manpower requirements.
  • Monitor crew attendance, rotations, leaves, and replacements to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Maintain crew database, documentation, and reporting for audits and management review.
  • Facilitate communication between crew members, management, and contractors regarding schedules, responsibilities, and project updates.
  • Assist in preparing cost reports related to manpower deployment and travel logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, maritime regulations, and company policies.
  • Support emergency response and contingency planning for crew availability.
Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or related field.
  • Diploma or certification in crew management, offshore operations, or logistics is advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in crew coordination, manpower planning, or offshore personnel management.
  • Familiarity with labor laws, maritime regulations, and HR policies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and crew management or HR software.
