Job summary

Siemens Energy India is seeking a senior design professional to lead end-to-end execution of 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects. The role emphasizes safe, profitable, on-time delivery in accordance with customer, contract, quality, and EHS requirements.

You will drive Creo Parametric-based design activities, manage large assemblies, templates, and drawing automation while mentoring junior designers. Collaboration with multinational teams and CAD standardization are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in GIS/AIS substation project execution.
• 8+ years in large assembly management and top-down design.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric v8–v12.
• Knowledge of GD&T, sheet metal design and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with Windchill PLM and engineering change control.
• Ability to establish CAD standards and drive design automation.

Lead end-to-end execution of 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects, ensuring safe, profitable and on-time delivery in compliance with customer, contractual, quality and EHS requirements.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Expert proficiency in Creo Parametric versions 8 to 12 for complex mechanical product design.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in large assembly management, top-down design, skeleton modeling, and drawing automation.
• Strong knowledge of Family Tables, UDFs, Relations, Parameters, Pro Program, Drawing Program Simplified Representations, Copy Geometry, Publish Geometry, and Flexible Modeling.
• Design Automation (Relations, UDFs, Mapkeys)
• Experience in generating manufacturing drawings, GD&T application, BOM management, Repeat regions, weldment detailing, and sheet metal design.
• Proficiency in interference analysis, design validation, and CAD data exchange.
• Working knowledge of Windchill PLM, engineering change management, and configuration control.
• Ability to establish CAD standards, mentor designers, and drive design automation initiatives.

What You Bring

• Experience in working with Global Multinational Power Transformer organizations is highly preferred
• Effective collaboration with multinational team
• Ability to communicate proficiently in English

Our product portfolio includes AIS (upto 800 kV), GIS (upto 420 kV), Power Transformers (upto 765 kV, 500 MVA), Reactors (upto 765 kV), Traction Transformers (upto 33 kV, 10 MVA).
