Job summary

Carrerlift is seeking a Private Credit Research Analyst to identify debt-capital opportunities and craft initial borrower profiles for lender conversations.

You will perform in-depth reviews of financial statements, bank records, and GST filings to assess lending suitability, while organizing lender requirements and generating clear credit summaries and deal briefs for stakeholders. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduates holding degrees in commerce, finance or economics.
• CA or CFA candidates, or MBA Finance freshers.
• Comfort reading and analyzing financial statements as core work.
• Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and presentation.
• Writing ability that is precise, direct and easy to follow.
• Genuine interest in how companies operate financially and raise capital.
• Self-direction and ownership of work quality and timelines.

• You will research businesses seeking debt capital and build initial profiles to frame these opportunities for lender conversations.
• Your work involves deep dives into financial statements, bank records, and GST filings to determine whether borrowers meet lending standards.
• You will organize and document lender requirements across sectors, loan amounts, and risk categories so the team can match deals to the right capital sources.
• You will create credit summaries, teasers, and deal briefs that present borrower information clearly to potential lenders.
• You will own deal tracking and work directly with clients to gather, organize, and move forward all required paperwork.

What you'll work on:

• Reading and interpreting balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements to assess financial health.
• Using Excel to model data, organize findings, and create reports that support credit decisions.
• Writing clear, structured documents that explain borrower profiles and lending terms to stakeholders.
• Understanding how businesses generate revenue, manage costs, and handle cash to spot red flags and opportunities.
• Moving quickly through analytical tasks while staying detail-oriented and asking clarifying questions when needed.
• Taking full responsibility for your assigned deals from research through document completion.
