Research Analyst – Credit Analysis of Project Finance

Responsibilities

• Analysing financial statements, operations/progress reports, asset summary report, and debt structure of project finance deals.
• Preparing deep dive financial models with drivers-based revenue estimations and financial projections over 5-7 years.
• Performing financial statement analysis and research based on loan origination documents, prior annual assessments, and secondary resources.
• Preparing a detailed credit assessment report and discussing the project’s business model, funding mix, strengths, weaknesses, and evaluating operational and financial risk profile (cash flow, debt servicing, etc.). Provide industry overview and likely company position based on secondary research.
• Performing credit evaluation of borrower transaction history, collateral, covenant monitoring, covenant projections, and suggesting early warning signals.

Functional & Behavioural Knowledge

• Domain expertise in project financing operations and act as a subject matter expert.
• In-depth understanding of financial statement linkages and experience with complex financial models.
• Experience in credit analysis, credit research, and detailed report writing.
• Reasonable understanding of lending process, bank guarantees, and covenant monitoring.
