Job summary

JobItUs in Ankleshwar, Gujarat is seeking a CPP Plant Operator/Technician to monitor boilers, steam turbines, DG sets, and associated utilities, ensuring safe, uninterrupted power and steam supply.

You will perform routine inspections, maintain shift logs, assist in start-up/shutdown, coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams, and uphold 5S and safety SOPs while working in rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with CPP plant equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps and auxiliaries.
• Knowledge of process control basics and reading schematics.
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts and follow safety SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CPP equipment including boilers, steam turbines, DG sets, pumps, and cooling towers.
• Perform routine inspection for leakage, vibration, overheating or unusual noise.
• Record parameters, maintain shift logbooks, report deviations to Shift Engineer.
• Assist in start-up, shutdown and emergency handling of power plant equipment.
• Carry out preventive, breakdown and corrective maintenance activities.
• Monitor utility systems for steam, condensate, air, fuel oil and cooling water.
• Ensure safe operation by following SOPs, work permits and LOTO.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation teams during maintenance.
• Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping in CPP area.
• Ensure uninterrupted power and steam supply by maintaining equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CPP equipment including boilers, steam turbines, DG sets, air compressors, cooling towers, and auxiliary systems.
• Perform routine inspection of plant equipment and identify abnormalities such as leakage, vibration, overheating, or unusual noise.
• Record operating parameters, maintain shift logbooks, and report deviations to the Shift Engineer.
• Assist in start-up, shutdown, and emergency handling of power plant equipment.
• Carry out preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Monitor utility systems including steam, condensate, compressed air, fuel oil, and cooling water.
• Ensure safe operation by following SOPs, work permits, LOTO, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams during maintenance activities.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the CPP area.
• Ensure uninterrupted power and steam supply to production by maintaining equipment reliability.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of boilers, steam turbines, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and utility equipment.
• Basic understanding of DCS/PLC operations.
• Ability to read equipment gauges, P&IDs, and operating manuals.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and troubleshooting.
• Good communication skills and willingness to work in rotating shifts.
