Job summary

Spectrum Formulation in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, invites applications for a Costing Executive / Senior Executive Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. The role focuses on detailed product and batch-wise costing for pharmaceutical formulations, considering API, raw materials, excipients, packaging, batch size, yield, overhead, and manufacturing costs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in product costing/commercial costing in pharma manufacturing.
• Experience with pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing, contract manufacturing or pharma exports preferred.
• Strong knowledge of API/RM/PM costing, yield, batch size, conversion costs and overhead allocation.
• Independently build product costing from BOM and manufacturing inputs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed product and batch-wise costing for pharmaceutical formulations.
• Calculate costing based on API, raw materials, excipients, packaging, batch size, yield, and overhead costs.
• Prepare and maintain BOM-based product cost sheets in ERP.
• Review costing based on changes in RM/PM prices, formulation, batch size, yield and manufacturing costs.
• Analyze standard vs. actual manufacturing costs and identify cost variances.
• Support product pricing, quotations, margins and profitability analysis.
• Prepare costing for new products, existing products, export orders and customer-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QA/QC, Stores, Accounts and Commercial teams for accurate costing inputs.
• Maintain accurate ERP costing data, product masters and costing records.

Role & Responsibilities

Role: Costing Executive / Senior Executive Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

• Prepare detailed product and batch-wise costing for pharmaceutical formulations.
• Calculate costing based on API, raw materials, excipients, packaging materials, batch size, yield, manufacturing and overhead costs.
• Prepare and maintain BOM-based product cost sheets in ERP.
• Review costing based on changes in RM/PM prices, formulation, batch size, yield and manufacturing costs.
• Analyze standard vs. actual manufacturing costs and identify cost variances.
• Support product pricing, quotations, margins and profitability analysis.
• Prepare costing for new products, existing products, export orders and customer-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QA/QC, Stores, Accounts and Commercial teams for accurate costing inputs.
• Maintain accurate ERP costing data, product masters and costing records.
• Prepare costing MIS and management reports.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and margin improvement.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in product costing/commercial costing, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Candidates with experience in pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing, contract manufacturing or pharma exports preferred.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of pharmaceutical product costing and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with ERP-based costing, BOM, batch costing and cost sheets.
• Strong MS Excel skills with good knowledge of formulas, costing models and data analysis.
• Good understanding of API/RM/PM costing, yield, batch size, conversion costs and overhead allocation.
• Should be able to independently build product costing from BOM and manufacturing inputs.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
