Job summary

Uniformverse in Surat, Gujarat invites an experienced Costing & MIS professional to lead product, production and manufacturing costing across multiple products and operations.

You will develop costing models, analyse variances, prepare budgets and MIS reports for senior management, and provide actionable insights for pricing and profitability. A strong background in cost accounting, SAP/ERP/Tally and advanced MS Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in costing, MIS, plant finance or manufacturing finance.
• Strong knowledge of management accounting and manufacturing costing.
• Experience with MIS reporting, budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead product, production and manufacturing costing across multiple products and operations.
• Prepare and analyse product-wise, plant-wise and business-wise costing.
• Develop detailed costing models covering raw material, labour, overheads, wastage and other production costs.
• Prepare financial MIS and management reports for senior management.
• Analyse actual vs. standard/budgeted cost and identify variances.
• Conduct profitability analysis by product, customer, business segment and plant.
• Analyse material consumption, production efficiency, wastage, labour cost and overhead absorption.
• Provide actionable financial and operational insights to management for pricing, profitability and business decisions.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cost projections and monitor performance against budgets.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and operational inefficiencies; coordinate with Plant, Production, Procurement, Stores, Sales, Finance and Head Office.
• Ensure coordination between Plant and Head Office; prepare costing for new products, quotations and margin evaluation.
• Monitor cost trends, margin movements and key financial KPIs; develop MIS dashboards and reporting formats.
• Support management with cash flow analysis, financial planning and business performance analysis.
• Review processes and implement improvements in costing, MIS, controls and reporting systems.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors when required.
• Assist in SOP development and internal controls.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead product, production and manufacturing costing across multiple products and operations.
• Prepare and analyse product-wise, plant-wise and business-wise costing.
• Develop detailed costing models covering raw material, labour, overheads, wastage and other production costs.
• Prepare and present financial MIS and management reports for senior management.
• Analyse actual vs. standard/budgeted cost and identify significant variances.
• Conduct profitability analysis by product, customer, business segment and plant.
• Analyse material consumption, production efficiency, wastage, labour cost and overhead absorption.
• Provide actionable financial and operational insights to management for pricing, profitability and business decisions.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cost projections and monitor performance against approved budgets.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities, profitability improvement areas and operational inefficiencies.
• Coordinate with Plant, Production, Procurement, Stores, Sales, Finance and Head Office to collect, validate and reconcile operational and financial data.
• Ensure proper coordination and reporting between Plant and Head Office.
• Prepare costing for new products, quotations, pricing and margin evaluation.
• Monitor and report cost trends, margin movements and key financial KPIs.
• Develop and maintain MIS dashboards and management reporting formats.
• Support management with cash flow analysis, financial planning and business performance analysis.
• Review existing processes and implement improvements in costing, MIS, controls and reporting systems.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors wherever required.
• Assist in developing and implementing SOPs, internal controls and process improvements.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely submission of all costing and MIS reports.

Preferred candidate profile

• 510 years of relevant experience in Costing, Management Accounting, Financial MIS, Plant Finance, Financial Analysis or Manufacturing Finance.
• CA / CMA / ICWA preferred.
• MBA Finance / M.Com candidates with strong and relevant manufacturing costing experience may also be considered.
• Strong experience in Product Costing, Multi-Product Costing, Cost Control and Cost Analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Management Accounting and Manufacturing Costing.
• Proven experience in MIS Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting, Variance Analysis and Profitability Analysis.
• Strong understanding of material cost, labour cost, overheads, wastage, production cost and cost allocation.
• Experience in Plant-wise, Product-wise and Business-wise performance analysis.
• Ability to convert financial and operational data into actionable insights for management decision-making.
• Experience in identifying cost variances, profitability gaps, cost-saving opportunities and operational inefficiencies.
• Strong experience coordinating with Head Office and Plant teams.
• Experience with SAP / ERP / Tally or other financial and business management systems.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS and data analysis.
• Experience in Cash Flow Management, Financial Planning and Reporting will be an advantage.
• Exposure to Internal Controls, Audit Coordination, SOP Development and Process Improvement preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Candidates from Manufacturing, Textile, Garment, Apparel, Footwear, Diamond, Pharmaceutical, Engineering or similar industries will be preferred.
