Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years of MEP costing experience.
• Hands-on BOQ preparation, drawing analysis, and cost estimation.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP projects, covering materials, labour, equipment.
• Study and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and documents.
• Prepare and review BOQ and tender documents.
• Analyse project requirements and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, site teams, clients, suppliers, and vendors for cost estimation.
• Prepare and submit competitive cost estimates and bids within deadlines.
• Monitor actual costs against budgets and identify variances.
• Maintain records of estimated costs, actual expenditures, and reports.
• Prepare detailed cost analysis reports and present findings to management.
• Establish cost monitoring procedures to improve estimation accuracy.
• Review supplier quotations and negotiate competitive pricing.
• Ensure estimates comply with specifications and budget guidelines.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Costing & Estimation Engineer (MEP) with a strong understanding of cost estimation, BOQ preparation, drawing analysis, and project cost control. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing technical drawings, coordinating with site teams and vendors, and ensuring projects are completed within the approved budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and other project expenses.
• Study and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Prepare and review the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and tender documents.
• Analyse project requirements and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, site teams, clients, suppliers, and vendors for cost estimation and quotations.
• Prepare and submit competitive cost estimates and bids within specified deadlines.

Eligibility Criteria

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MEP costing and estimation.
• Hands-on experience in BOQ preparation, drawing analysis, and cost estimation.
