Job summary

Jobitus is seeking an experienced MEP Manager – Tendering & Contracts to lead tender preparation, cost estimation, contract evaluation, and technical submissions. You will coordinate with internal teams, vendors, consultants, and clients to ensure accurate costing, technical compliance, and timely tender submissions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in MEP tendering and contracts, with strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, ELV, and FIDIC-like terms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, estimation, tendering, or contracts.
• Experience in tender preparation, BOQ analysis, and MEP contract documentation.
• Experience working with contractors, consultants, and subcontractors on large construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, technical specs, BOQs, and contract conditions for MEP works.
• Prepare cost estimates for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and other MEP systems.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for tender inputs.
• Prepare technical proposals, value engineering options, and cost optimization strategies.
• Review vendor and subcontractor quotations for tender compliance.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, client discussions, and clarifications.
• Support commercial proposal prep and ensure alignment with terms.
• Identify technical and contractual risks and highlight deviations in MEP scope.
• Assist in finalizing subcontract packages and negotiations.
• Maintain updated cost databases, vendor lists, and benchmarking records.
• Ensure timely tender submissions with complete documentation and compliance.

Job Summary

The candidate will coordinate with internal teams, vendors, consultants, and clients to ensure accurate costing, technical compliance, and timely tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review tender documents, drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and contract conditions related to MEP works.
2. Prepare cost estimates for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and other MEP systems.
3. Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for technical inputs required for tender submissions.
4. Prepare technical proposals, value engineering options, and cost optimization strategies.
5. Review vendor and subcontractor quotations to ensure compliance with tender requirements.
6. Participate in pre-bid meetings, client discussions, and technical clarifications.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering.
• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering may be considered for candidates with relevant experience.
• Additional certifications in MEP Design, Project Management, or Contracts Management will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, estimation, tendering, or contracts within construction, infrastructure, or real estate projects.
• Experience in tender preparation, BOQ analysis, and MEP contract documentation.
• Experience working with contractors, consultants, and subcontractors on large construction projects.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
• Hands-on experience in MEP estimation and tendering.
• Knowledge of FIDIC or similar construction contract conditions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
• Understanding of value engineering and cost control techniques.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet strict deadlines.
