Tesco Bengaluru is seeking a Cost Optimisation Analyst to monitor, analyse and optimise cloud spend across our organisation, driving financial accountability and efficiency. You will partner with finance, IT and engineering to implement cost controls and data-driven insights.
Key activities include cost monitoring, tagging, budgeting, forecasting, and governance; building dashboards, managing cloud cost tools, and promoting best practices. The role offers a hybrid model with remote flexibility.
The Cost Optimisation Analyst will report to the Cost Optimisation Manager. The Cost Optimisation analyst will be responsible for analyze, monitor, and optimize cloud costs to drive financial accountability and maximise efficiency across our organisation. The expertise will enable us to make data-driven decisions, control cloud expenditures, and promote a culture of cost-consciousness in our cloud operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, process optimisation expertise, and cross functional collaboration with finance, IT. Ultimately, your job will be an integral part of our efforts to ensure profitability and business success.
Track cloud usage and spend across multiple cloud platforms, generating regular reports and dashboards to visualise cost trends and identify anomalies.
Implement and enforce tagging policies for accurate cost attribution, supporting chargeback and showback initiatives.
Assist in developing cloud budgets based on historical data and growth forecasts; monitor actual spend against forecasts and identify deviations.
Analyse usage patterns to identify waste, underutilised resources, or over-provisioned assets; recommend and track cost optimisation initiatives such as rightsizing and reserved instances.
Ensure adherence to organisational policies on cloud spending, maintain tagging and resource lifecycle standards, and support audits and compliance requirements.
Manage cloud cost management tools, automate routine reporting and alerts, and develop processes for ongoing cost control.
Work closely with engineering, product, and finance teams to promote cost awareness, educate on best practices, and support cross functional cost optimisation initiatives.
Establish and operationalise cost models (token, model, agent level) and enable enterprise level AI cost transparency.

FinOps principles and cloud cost management Process improvement mindset with the ability to drive automation and efficiency.
Expert level organisational, written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making abilities Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
