Job summary

Tesco Bengaluru is seeking a procurement insights SME to lead AI-enabled intelligence by integrating external market and internal data to drive predictive insights and resilient procurement decisions.

You will develop scalable market intelligence models, build comprehensive reports, and collaborate with buyers across categories to strengthen supplier negotiations and savings opportunities. The role supports a hybrid work model with global best practices.

Qualifications

• Procurement process knowledge is essential.
• MBA plus at least 5 years experience in Procurement Market.
• Eye for detail and advanced analytical ability.
• Research, analytics, supply chain risk management experience.
• Strong problem solving and speed/accuracy.
• Commercial acumen and financial fundamentals.
• Fluent verbal and written communication; stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of databases such as Bloomberg and D&B; advanced Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-enabled intelligence capabilities by integrating external market, supplier, risk, and spend data to generate predictive insights.
• Develop scalable market intelligence model for buyers in collaboration with Enterprise Analytics.
• Create market intelligence reports: supplier landscape, price benchmarking, should-cost, TCO, engagement and sourcing models, supplier risk.

About the role

I am a subject matter expert for Procurement insights including Market Intelligence, and supply chain risk and Analytics. I would lead the development of AI-enabled intelligence capabilities by integrating external market, supplier, risk, and geopolitical insights with internal procurement and spend data to generate predictive insights, strengthen supply continuity, influence enterprise decision-making, and support long-term business growth and resilience.

• Develop scalable Cat intel model leveraging AI to provide self-serve option for buyers working in conjunction with Enterprise Analytics team.
• Build Market intelligence reports including Supplier landscape, Price benchmarking, Cost model structure, should cost model, TCO, Engagement models, Sourcing model, Supplier risk, Competitive benchmarking, Savings opportunities, Negotiation levers.
• Build Should cost modeling/bottom-up cost models to validate supplier price hike requests using internal market index databases and deliver savings.
• Collaborate closely with buyers across assigned product categories, gathering and analyzing relevant data to develop strategic recommendations for category and commodity leaders, and contribute to supplier negotiation processes.
• Build and manage supplier and expert network database to gather evolving market/price data.
• Monitor supplier and supply chain risk status for supply base through third party tools and develop BCP in conjunction with Procurement Managers.
• Build statistical models to drive predictive risk analytics leveraging AI.
• Implementing CI projects to drive productivity.
