Tesco India Bengaluru is seeking a data engineer/data analytics professional to design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
You will drive data analysis, build dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust analytical solutions.
Represent Talent Acquisition in all forums/seminars pertaining to process, compliance and audit.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as required by management.
Driving CI culture, implementing CI projects and innovation within the team.
Drive data analysis for testing key business hypotheses and business asks, developing visualizations, self-service tools and dashboards for recurring business requirements.
Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and analytical data solutions.
Build and optimize data warehouse solutions using SQL, Teradata, Hive, Hadoop and Python-based technologies.
Design and maintain data models, data structures and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) to support business requirements.
Ensure data quality, integrity and availability across datasets and analytical solutions.
Optimize queries, pipelines and data processing workloads to improve performance and reduce execution times.
Ensure analysis, data products and dashboards are developed with the right technical rigor and align with Tesco technical standards.
Continuously investigate data, tables and processes to identify anomalies, inaccuracies, missing data, leakages and improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable engineering and analytical solutions.
Contribute to knowledge assets, reusable modules and documentation on GitHub/Wiki.
Mentor team members and support delivery of projects aligned to expected performance and quality standards.
