Job summary

Tesco India Bengaluru seeks a subject matter expert in procurement insights, market intelligence and analytics to lead AI-enabled capabilities by integrating external market data with internal spend data to generate predictive insights and strengthen supply continuity.

You will develop market intelligence reports, build should-cost and bottom-up models, and collaborate with buyers across categories to support negotiations and supplier risk management. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• MBA with at least 5 years in procurement market.
• Proven expertise in market intelligence, supplier risk, and analytics.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg & D&B; advanced Excel & PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-enabled intelligence capabilities by integrating external market data with internal spend data.
• Develop market intelligence reports: supplier landscape, price benchmarking, should-cost models.
• Build bottom-up cost models to validate supplier price hikes.
• Collaborate with buyers to provide strategic recommendations and support negotiations.
• Manage supplier/expert network database; monitor supply chain risk and develop BCP.
• Create predictive risk analytics using statistical modeling and AI.
• Drive CI projects to boost productivity.

Job description

I am a subject matter expert for Procurement insights including Market Intelligence, and supply chain risk and Analytics. I would lead the development of AI-enabled intelligence capabilities by integrating external market, supplier, risk, and geopolitical insights with internal procurement and spend data to generate predictive insights, strengthen supply continuity, influence enterprise decision-making, and support long-term business growth and resilience.

• Develop scalable Cat intel model leveraging AI to provide self-serve option for buyers working in conjunction with Enterprise Analytics team.
• Build Market intelligence reports including Supplier landscape, Price benchmarking, Cost model structure, should cost model, TCO, Engagement models, Sourcing model, Supplier risk, Competitive benchmarking, Savings opportunities, Negotiation levers.
• Build Should cost modeling/bottom-up cost models to validate supplier price hike requests using internal market index databases and deliver savings.
• Collaborate closely with buyers across assigned product categories, gathering and analyzing relevant data to develop strategic recommendations for category and commodity leaders, and contribute to supplier negotiation processes.
• Build and manage supplier and expert network database to gather evolving market/price data.
• Monitor supplier and supply chain risk status for supply base through third party tools and develop BCP in conjunction with Procurement Managers.
• Build statistical models to drive predictive risk analytics leveraging AI.
• Implementing CI projects to drive productivity.
