Job summary

Hill International in Gurugram, India, seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead quantity take-offs, prepare BOQs, and support cost estimation for building projects across residential, commercial, hotel and healthcare sectors.

You will use Cost-X and AutoCAD, draft interim payments, monitor cost control, and manage variations and final accounts, ensuring accurate reporting and strong vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 12-15 years’ experience with building projects.
• Proficient in CAD and quantification/estimation software.
• Familiarity with IS 1200, POMI or similar standards.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or other similar standards.
• Use Cost-X and AutoCAD for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans including bulk checks.
• Draft or validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
• Support cost estimation activities by identifying basic material and labour rates and understanding rate analysis for standard work items.
• Assist in tendering process and documentation.
• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes.
• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, valuation of variations, tracking of risk allowances, and preparation of final accounts.
• Apply construction technologies and methods in cost planning tasks; assess cost implications of materials, labour and construction methods during design and execution.

Undertake quantity works for Building projects - Residential, Commercial, Hotel, Hospital, Fitout, Industry / warehouse (depending on project requirement)

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or other similar standards.
• Use software tools (e.g., Cost X, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans including carrying out bulk checks.
• Draft or Validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
• Support cost estimation activities by identifying basic material and labour rates and understanding rate analysis for standard work items.
• Having basic understanding on tendering process and documentation.
• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes.
• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, valuation of variations, tracking of risk allowances, and preparation of final accounts.
• Apply working knowledge of construction technologies and methods in cost planning tasks. Assess cost implications of materials, labour and construction methods during design and execution stages.
• Should be good in CAD, Cost-X (qty take off tools) and other quantification / estimation software.
• Good skills on MS excel and word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software.

Qualification- Degree in Civil Engineering

Experience- Minimum 12-15 years’ experience with building projects
