Job summary

Hitachi Vantara India Private Limited is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join its Manufacturing Finance team in Noida. The role requires hands-on cost accounting expertise, standard costing, product costing, and strong inventory valuation capabilities, supporting business decisions with accurate financial reporting.

You will manage end-to-end cost accounting for manufacturing, develop costing models, analyze costs, assist budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with production,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance required.
• CA or CMA qualification preferred.
• 3–8 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or product-based industries is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end cost accounting for manufacturing or product-based businesses.
• Develop, maintain, and review standard costing models.
• Analyse material, labour, overhead, and production costs.
• Perform inventory valuation, reconciliations, and cost analysis.
• Prepare product costing, BOM costing, and profitability analysis.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and investigate deviations.
• Support month-end and year-end close for inventory.
• Prepare cost reports, MIS, and management analyses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, supply chain, and finance.
• Ensure compliance with policies, costing standards, and internal controls.
• Assist audits related to inventory and costing.
• Identify opportunities to improve costing methodologies.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant with hands-on experience in Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Finance. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Standard Costing, Product Costing, Inventory Accounting, Inventory Valuation, BOM Costing, Cost Analysis, Variance Analysis, Budgeting, and Profitability Analysis, while supporting business decisions through accurate cost information and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end cost accounting activities for manufacturing or product-based businesses.
• Develop, maintain, and review Standard Costing models.
• Analyse material, labour, overhead, and production costs.
• Perform Inventory Valuation, inventory reconciliations, and inventory cost analysis.
• Prepare Product Costing, BOM Costing, and profitability analysis.
• Perform Cost Variance Analysis and investigate cost deviations.
• Support inventory-related Month-End and Year-End Close activities.
• Prepare cost reports, MIS reports, and management analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning activities.
• Work closely with production, procurement, supply chain, and finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, costing standards, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits related to inventory and costing.

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. .
