Job summary

HSBC Bengaluru is seeking an ARM to support Relationship Managers in managing and growing a portfolio of corporate clients, delivering a consistently strong client experience and ensuring disciplined execution across credit, onboarding, servicing and controls.

This role offers a platform to build end-to-end corporate banking skills while collaborating with internal product and risk partners. Prior exposure to AI-enabled tools is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or CA/CFA) preferred in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • 1–3 years’ experience supporting corporate/commercial banking clients (relationship support, credit support, onboarding, servicing, client implementation, or operations).
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive support to non-borrowing clients: engage with non-borrowing clients with focus on increasing liability balances and onshore/offshore requirements.
  • Delivering non-credit related assistance to borrowing clients: support borrowing clients on matters not related to credit facilities, ensuring operational and transactional needs are met in India and other markets.
  • Driving cross-sell initiatives: promote a broad range of banking products and services based on client suitability; use insights to enhance wallet share.
  • Managing pricing approvals: oversee pricing approval requests, including ORC creation and CCM approvals, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
  • Assisting with client planning on CME: support development and execution of client plans and ensure pipeline and lost deals are updated.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance: ensure timely KYC, monitor non-financial risks and address regulatory/compliance matters.
  • Co-ordinating with product teams to deliver bespoke client servicing: liaise with product teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Facilitating transactional support: end-to-end assistance on client transactions like loan draws and other activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support RMs in all other activities including audits related to ORC/pricing approvals and bespoke client requests.

Education

  • Providing Comprehensive Support to Non-Borrowing Clients:
    Proactively engage with non‑borrowing clients with a particular focus on increasing liability balances and supporting any other onshore/ offshore requirements.
  • Delivering Non-Credit Related Assistance to Borrowing Clients:
    Support borrowing clients on matters not related to credit facilities, ensuring their operational and transactional requirements are met efficiently both in India and other markets (as applicable).
  • Driving Cross‑Sell Initiatives:
    Actively promote a broad range of banking products and services based on client suitability. Leverage client insights through SAGE to identify cross‑sell opportunities and help the RM enhance wallet share of the client.
  • Managing Pricing Approvals:
    Oversee the preparation and submission of pricing approval requests, including the creation of ORC and obtaining CCM approvals. Ensure all pricing decisions are compliant with internal guidelines.
  • Assisting with Client Planning on CME:
    Provide support in the development and execution of client plans on CME, ensuring that strategic objectives are clearly defined, tracked, and achieved. Assist the RM in ensuring CME pipeline and lost deals are updated promptly.
  • Ensuring Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure timely KYC completion/ updation, monitor non‑financial risks in the portfolio and address any regulatory/ compliance matters.
  • Co‑ordinating with Product teams and delivering bespoke client servicing needs:
    Liaise effectively with various product teams and support the RMs to deliver integrated solutions that meet bespoke client requirements. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Facilitating Transactional Support:
    Offer end‑to‑end assistance on client transactions, such as loan drawdowns and other operational activities. Ensure all processes are executed accurately, promptly, and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support RMs in all other activities including but not limited to audits related to ORC/ pricing approvals and any other bespoke client requests
Role Requirements / Education Qualifications / Certifications / Experience:
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred or CA or CFA.
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience supporting corporate/commercial banking clients (relationship support, credit support, onboarding, servicing, client implementation, or operations).

Additional Information

Mandatory to successfully complete Anti‑Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post‑course assessment, as required.
