Job summary

Synergiz Global Services in Gujarat is seeking a contracts professional to lead bid evaluation, prepare bidding documents and corrigenda for tenders and understand contractual terms within bid documents. You will prepare general and technical specifications, review BOQ and cost estimates, and ensure alignment with project requirements.

The role requires coordinating with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure compliant, competitive bids.

Responsibilities

• Bid evaluation.
• Preparing bidding documents and corrigendum for tenders for Contractors.
• Understanding contractual terms and requirements in a bid document.
• Prepare the conditions of Contract.
• Preparation of General Specification and Technical Specification of works Contract.
• Review and fix deficits in the Specifications of the Contract.
• Preparing responses for bid queries, corrigendum.
• Use of FIDIC red book, yellow book, etc. to define the contractual terms.
• Drafting tender clauses/documents as per JICA Standard Bidding Procedures.
• Carry out technical evaluation of submitted Bids for each contract as per JICA procedures.
• Meeting with the internal teams on a regular basis to review progress, discuss problems and consider necessary changes in the Contract Document and provide the contractual remedies.
• Identifying potential problems and resolving the issues with the client in a timely order.
• Advising client of any works to be carried out under separate direct contract. Interpretation and administration of Conditions of Contract.
• Contractual issues from consultants and main client to be addressed.
• Preparing BOQ & cost estimate for the designs provided by client or its consultants.
• Review verify & optimize the BOQ provided by client or its Consultants.
• Review verify & optimize the cost variations that are incurred due to design changes or quantities variations due to site conditions in accordance with the change order procedure of client.
• Review designs and BOQ provided by the design consultants and suggest necessary changes.
• Prepare variation orders with inputs from consultants & vendors during construction in line with the change order procedure of client.
• Review & verify rate analysis for any non-schedule items submitted by the contractors & Approve vendor bills based on actual measurement & Engineering quantity & quality verification and certify bills for payment.
• Establish a cost control system to identify increase in costs both incurred and anticipated, so that timely action may be taken to remain in budget.
• Implementing stringent quality procedures to ensure the work quality life cycle.
• Prepare and maintain statements for monitoring project expenditures and providing monthly project cost reports.
• Certify bills through adequate check on site and compliance with contract conditions, periodic reconciliation of materials.
