Tata Consulting Engineers seeks an experienced Contracts Manager for an industrial project at a site in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, approximately 160 km from the city. You will supervise prime contracts, interpret terms, and drive commercial decisions to keep the project on track.

The role requires extensive experience in EPC/EPCM contracts, strong negotiation and stakeholder management, and the ability to coordinate with project, procurement, and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

We are hiring Contracts Manager for an industrial client at a site in Gadchiroli district, approximately 160 km from Gadchiroli city.

Role & responsibilities

1. Supervise and administer the prime contracts of all major contractors engaged in the project.
2. Review, interpret, and explain contractual obligations, terms, and commitments to project stakeholders and contractor personnel.
3. Resolve contractual ambiguities and provide guidance to ensure smooth execution of project activities.
4. Ensure contractors comply with all requirements, conditions, and obligations specified under the prime contracts.
5. Monitor contract performance and identify potential contractual risks, deviations, or disputes.
6. Coordinate with project, procurement, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure effective contract implementation.
7. Manage contract correspondence, notices, claims, variations, extensions of time, and contractual documentation.
8. Ensure proper administration of contracts through an auditable and transparent process.
9. Support project management in commercial negotiations and contract-related decision-making.
10. Maintain records of contractual commitments, deliverables, milestones, and compliance requirements.
11. Assist in dispute avoidance and resolution through proactive contract management practices.
12. Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and project governance standards.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 12 to 15 years of experience in contract management, contract administration, or commercial management.
2. Experience in beneficiation plants, mining projects, steel plants, industrial construction, power, or large infrastructure projects will be preferred.
3. Strong understanding of EPC/EPCM contracts, subcontract management, claims management, and contract risk mitigation.
4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Proficiency in contract interpretation and project commercial controls.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and manage multiple contractor interfaces.
