Job summary

Betr India Foodworks Pvt Ltd in Gurugram is seeking a Continental Commi-2 to support our kitchen team in preparing and cooking continental dishes to company standards. Based on site, you will assist in mise en place, handle basic cooking tasks, and plate dishes with consistent portions.

You will follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs, maintain strict hygiene and food safety, help with receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely order

Qualifications

• Strong cooking and culinary skills in continental cuisine.
• Solid food preparation skills including mise en place and basic production tasks.
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards in professional kitchens.
• Clear communication with chefs and team members.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Prior experience as a commi or junior cook is preferred.
• Culinary certification or diploma is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mise en place and basic production tasks.

Role Description

The Continental Commi-2 is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, responsible for supporting the kitchen team in preparing and cooking continental dishes to company standards. The role includes assisting in mise en place, basic cooking tasks, plating, and ensuring consistent portioning and presentation. The Continental Commi-2 follows recipes and instructions from senior chefs, maintains high levels of kitchen hygiene and food safety, and helps with receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients. The position involves working within standard operating procedures, supporting service during peak hours, and collaborating with team members to maintain smooth kitchen operations and timely order execution.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Cooking and Culinary Skills relevant to continental cuisine.
• Candidates should possess solid Food Preparation skills, including mise en place and basic production tasks.
