Jox Stays Morjim, Goa is seeking a Commis I for Continental cuisine to support the kitchen team in preparing and executing Continental dishes, while upholding high standards of quality, presentation, hygiene and safety.

The ideal candidate should have strong foundational culinary skills, good discipline, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within a professional kitchen environment.

Mansioni

• Handle daily mise en place and food preparation for the assigned kitchen station.
• Prepare and execute Continental hot and cold dishes as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper organization of the assigned workstation.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen hygiene standards at all times.
• Properly handle, store, label, and rotate food items to maintain freshness and minimize wastage.
• Assist the Chef and senior culinary team during service and peak operational hours.
• Ensure all ingredients, equipment, and mise en place are ready before service.
• Monitor food quality and immediately report any quality or stock-related concerns to the senior chef.
• Minimize food wastage through proper preparation, portion control, and storage practices.
• Maintain discipline and follow all kitchen SOPs and operational procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth and timely food service.
