LearningMate is seeking a Content Designer (Math) to develop and revise digital instructional materials, from manuscripts to videos, applying instructional design principles and subject matter expertise. The role emphasizes collaboration with the Content Producer Lead to plan workflows and ensure design consistency.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Education/Instructional Design or related field with 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply educational research, pedagogy, subject matter expertise, and instructional design to create instructional videos
• Review product features for curriculum design consistency
• Ensure content has clear hierarchy and whitespace in designs
• Collaborate with Content Producer Lead to plan workflow and schedules
• Work with Content Producer Lead to ensure product design consistency
• Produce high quality work to schedule
• Support discovery and integration of AI tools to enhance creative processes
• Handle multiple projects and adapt to new assignments
• Other duties as required

Summary Description The Content Designer (Math) applies subject matter knowledge and instructional design principles to develop and revise digital instructional materials and supporting materials. The materials created range from writing manuscripts to creating videos.

Essential Job Functions

• Understand and apply educational research, pedagogy, subject matter expertise, and instructional design principles to create instructional videos.
• Review product features against guidelines for consistency in curriculum design.
• Make sure activity design has adequate white space and hierarchy to clearly display content.
• Collaborate with Content Producer Lead to plan and execute on project workflow and schedules.
• Work with Content Producer Lead to create consistency in design of the product.
• Produce high quality work to schedule.
• Support the discovery and integration of AI tools and technologies to enhance our creative processes, drive efficiency and optimize workflows
• Ability to multi-task and meet the needs of new projects that arise.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communication, or Design and 2 years of Curriculum Development, educational publishing, or instructional design experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills

• Classroom teaching experience either online or in-person and knowledge of online learning activities and the education market preferred.
• Excellent presentation skills, and desire to learn new tools for producing content.
• Skilled in PowerPoint and specifically animations and templates.
• Ability to support learning through content design.
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated understanding of clean design - hierarchy and layout.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and create quality products.
• Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues to create a high-quality results-driven, team oriented environment.
• Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
