Job summary

Brillio is seeking a Lead Engineer to architect and deliver enterprise AEM CMS solutions. You will lead design, development and deployment of scalable AEM-based sites for key clients, aligning with business requirements.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, optimize performance and security, integrate third-party APIs, and collaborate with UI/UX, backend, and QA teams to ensure high-quality digital experiences.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and CMS engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Sling for backend AEM development.
  • Experience building AEM components, templates and workflows.
  • Familiar with RESTful API integration and AEM security practices.
  • Experience with performance optimization and caching in AEM.

Lead Engineer

  • Experience Range: 4 - 6 years of experience, including substantial hands-on expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and CMS engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AEM-based CMS solutions for enterprise projects
  • Architect and implement custom AEM components, templates, and workflows to meet business requirements
  • Optimize site performance, security, and scalability through advanced configuration, code reviews, and adherence to AEM best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality digital experiences
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and ensuring compliance with coding standards
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance site capabilities and streamline content workflows within AEM
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to AEM, hosting, and CMS integrations
  • Stay current with emerging CMS technologies and AEM updates, proactively recommending improvements to architecture and processes

Required Skills:

  • Expert-level Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development (components, templates, workflows)
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Sling for backend AEM engineering
  • Advanced skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for responsive and interactive UI development within AEM
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and AEM integration
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git
  • Hands-on experience with CMS performance optimization and caching strategies in AEM
  • Knowledge of AEM security best practices and vulnerability mitigation
  • Familiarity with AEM Sites, Assets, and Forms modules
  • Experience with automated deployment and CI/CD pipelines for AEM projects
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience integrating AEM with headless CMS architectures
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for AEM deployments
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with other CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla) for comparative insights
  • Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) for advanced front-end development

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline
  • Adobe Certified Expert (AEM) or equivalent industry-recognized AEM certification
  • Relevant certification in web development or CMS technologies (e.g., Google Mobile Web Specialist)
