A Consultant Neurosurgeon diagnoses and manages surgical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and related structures, providing both operative and non-operative care.

• Evaluate patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
• Perform detailed clinical assessments and neurological examinations.
• Review imaging, laboratory results, and other diagnostic findings.
• Diagnose conditions requiring neurosurgical management.
• Develop appropriate surgical and non-surgical treatment plans.
• Perform neurosurgical procedures within professional expertise.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Monitor patients after surgery and manage complications.
• Coordinate with neurologists, intensivists, radiologists, anesthetists, and other specialists.
• Participate in emergency neurosurgical care when required.
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical and surgical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinical meetings.
• Support teaching and training of residents and junior doctors.
• Follow hospital clinical protocols, patient-safety standards, and applicable regulations.
